A totally bitter beer from Stone-- what a surprise! SInce hops are not bitter enough, let's add really bitter greens. This smells hoppy, at least. Clear golden amber with a big fizzy head. Attractive pour in the small tulip... but what Stone beer is not lovely to look at?
There is not really much trace of malt here. It's hard to describe bitterness as anything but bitter. I'm not sure you could identify the special dandelion flavor, which doesn't seem to produce anything of a vegetable taste.
Eight ounces was too much of this. On tap at the Stone tasting room by the railroad station in downtown San Diego.

On cask at the Daily Pint. Poured hazy with little head. Great aroma--floral, pine, and definitely cask. Taste-wise I got a LOT of cask. Some floral notes but muted by the taste of cask. Nothing else really jumped out. It was an interesting beer but nothing I'll necessarily seek out again.
