Dirty blonde orange in color with no carbonation. Very opaque and mysterious.

Very cidery with apple juice aromas. Pickled rhine and very cidery and brisk aromas. Nice fruity tart character.

Pickeld kumquat hmm. Tangy and sour on the finish with a thin middle due to no carbonation at all. Very fruity with a mild acidity. Cider plays a big role. An odd beer but good in its own right.

On tap at Dark Horse after driving from Warren.

Served up in a quite cold snifter, with a murky, dark orange body and zero head or lacing.

Aromatics are pungently laced with citrus and fuselish alcohol. Pithy grapefruit, orange oil, Kumquat rinds, and furniture polish. A hint of tartness with tannic-spiked thinner.

Medium bodied with a sticky, flat mouthfeel.

Grapefruit, Kumquat, and Orange piths start the palate. A bearish tartness steps forward along with a building sourness. A fuselish bite pulls though but is still overwhelmed by a massive rind essence.

Finishes with an extreme tartness, just short of sour, with lingering Grapefruit seeds and Kumquat pith.

What an unusual beer. When I inquired about the odd name, the gentleman at the bar just replied "the brewers are just a bunch of jokers".
Way too heavy on the fusels and pithy tannins for me. Very brash and big. Probably would be a great one to lay down for 10 years. No growlers though..Waaah!
