Surprised by the Dark Horse effort, or maybe lack of. Served with a smallish, fine, off white head that settled to a fine cover and no lace. Color is a clear, rich yellow. Aroma is malt, hay, and grain. Flavor is similar with sweetness coming out. Very little hop. Bit fruity. Body is ok and so is carbonation. Finish is like flavor. Reminds me of some of the early pale ales that were "pale" in color, but nothing like a tradition "pale ale" of any sense. Certainly not an american ipa.
