Tap takeover of Hopcat Detroit.Decent Black IPA, although nothing outstanding it was well crafted and not overly roasty. Not as big a mouthfeel as expected in the style.

This one was shared by jale (Jim) a great BA, and an even better person.
A: Pours a dark black hue with tones of amber showing through. The head was nice and tall and tan in color. Good retention with some nice lace.
S: Rather dank and hoppy. Weed, and grass up front. Mild citrus notes and hints of roast.
T: Roasty goodness, bold grapefruit and mild lemon rind. Notes of mild green grass, and a bit of caramel.
M: Medium in body, smooth, bitter finish.
D: Great, a one of a kind black IPA.
Great beer shared by a Great BA. Jim is one of a kind, a BA that I am forever indebted to.
