A-pours a cloudy dark brown color with a dense tan colored head.
S-lots of whiskey in the nose, light oak and vanilla presence with hints of smoked dark malt, notes of sweet toffee and caramel with a light undertone of chocolate.
T-great balance in the flavor, good oak presence with notes of vanilla, the whiskey is mellow in the flavor but present, sweet toffee and caramel on the middle of the tongue with notes of chocolate malt and smoked peat in the back.
M-smooth and creamy on the palate with a medium body, perfect carbonation and a soft easily drinken finish.
D-very good beer with a great oak presence, the barrel aging seems to have been done extremely well and it doesn't seem to thin the beer out too much. Good malt body and flavors, very tasty brew!
