L = medium yellow, hazy body, with plenty of fruity pulp. Modest half inch head which dissipated quickly.
S = rather sweet pineapple scent, with the requisite hoppy underpinning.
T = hops, fresh and vibrant, tamed by pineapple, grapefruit, lemon, quite palatable and easy on the tastebuds.
F = a bit sticky, but a luscious body. very smooth mouthfeel, exceptionally so for an IPA, no lingering bitterness.
0 = Extremely satisfying experience. Had two pint glasses with an oak smoked medium rare burger topped with apple smoke bacon, caramelized onions, and a complex cheddar at Zingermans' Roadhouse in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Great pairing!

Brief Review:
O: So not to be confused with Pineapple Tree, this is the hazy version I believe. Just had regular Hazy Crooked Tree which I liked a lot. This one doesn't seem like too much of an improvement to me. Pineapple notes aren't huge and could be bigger. It's super drinkable, but I think that has more to do with the low IBUs. Maybe could be hopped a touch more.
Recommendation: Not the best hazy offering from Dark Horse, but not terrible either. Possibly worth a try if there's not much else interesting to grab.
