The most dangerous beer I've ever had, for certain. The flavor and nose is almost all milk chocolate and raspberry. Which wouldn't be so dangerous if it weren't for the fact that it's actually 16% abv. Drank in a snifter in Dark Horse in May. Wonderful composition. Not sure how many of these I could get through.

Served on tap at TJs.
This looks like any solid stout would. It has a deep and dark body capped off by some creamy head that does dissipate fairly quickly. The borders of the beer do leave some rich ruby- and amber-colored hues. There is some leggy lacing that drips downward slowly after each sip.
The aroma makes it very clear that this is a raspberry beer. Fresh and juicy raspberry aromas make an immediate impression on the nose. They are followed by some light roast and some bitterish chocolate. The flavor does follow in step, though the raspberries are extremely sweet and seem to overwhelm the other aspects of the beer. As a result, the overall palate impression that I get is cloyingly sweet and somewhat artificial, bordering on almost medicinal in its flavor quality. While this wasn't something that I would ditch altogether, there is definitely room for improvement.
Nicely done on the way it feels in the mouth. Ample but not excessive carbonation, a medium to thick body, and plenty of flavor, this is a solid choice. Just make sure you really love raspberries.
