12 ounce bottle, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Date stamp on the label is smudged so I have no idea what it says, but I do know I've had this bottle for a little while so it's got some age on it. Served in a chalice, the beer pours a dark reddish/brown color with about an inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like dark fruit (cherry, figs), brown sugar, blueberry and some bread. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some toffee and red apple noticeable too. I think the fruitiness stands out here somewhat compared to the other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating and has a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one, nice overall brew that I'd recommend more to people who like fruitier tasting barleywines.

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter with a big thanks to Jamie! Cheers!
This solid barleywine pours a red tinged mahogany with a nice head of
khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, subtle dusty layer, and sports some
decent legs with a swirl. Nose of dark brown sugars, pine, dates, and
dark cherry. Flavors surpass the nose with a nice presentation of pine
hops dashed against a wall of brown sugar malt, dark cherry, light toffee,
dates, and subtle peach. Mouth feel is medium, light carbonation, smooth,
warming, sticky, and finishing sweet and moderately pine hopped for balance.

Overall, a solid barleywine!

Cheers

Poured clear, deep brown, with no head. Noticed sediment in the bottom of the bottle, poured some back in, swished it around, and added it to the glass. This made it nicely hazy and even added a bit of head back in, although it dissipated quickly.

A bit too sweet for me, and it doesn't have a whole lot else going for it. Boozy, of course, with plenty of caramel malts and almost a burnt sugar note. It's fairly balanced but without any particularly defining profile. Feel is smooth and decently creamy despite being quite low in carbonation.

No date on bottle. No head formed on pour. Smells like a basic barleywine.Tastse is malty sweet raisin.
A bit sticky sweet. I haven't had a barleywine in a couple years, this okay but I wonder how old it is? I liked them in the past but now my pallette likes less sweetness.
