Had this beer on tap at the local option. I was told that it is plead the 5th aged in woodford barrels.
Plead the option is pitch black with a short khaki head composed of bigger bubbles. There are a couple spots of lacing, but not much. Aroma is big bourbon with coconut and a bit of vanilla. There is also a bit of caramel and cocoa. Flavor is a bit sweet with more caramel than the aroma, oak, vanilla, and again a lot of bourbon. The mouthfeel is medium full and pretty smooth. Nice carbonation level. Very nice surprise at the local option.
