Bottle 5 of 396. From the 2012 4elf party, shared at a local bottle share.
Brew pours a silky jet black with anthin foamy head. Nose is big chocolate with some oxidation that actuallymrounds things out and kind of has a roast with a bite. Some dark fruit stouty notes jump out as well. Taste to match. Nice roasted chocolate with anhint of oxidation that comes across as bitter coffee with some dark fruit. Frinks like a stout, no porter char. Fairly full bodied for a porter (but still lighter than a stout...maybe like a foreign export stout?). Really easy drinker and quite enjoyable.

Corked Bomber.
This one was extremely difficult to uncork, but was the first carbed bomber I've had out of Dark Horse. Left this one at room temp since 4Elf until this evening,
Very dark brown body, near black. Small tan head, moderate to low retention. Low lacing,
Aroma is light. Some sweetness.
Sweet, roasty. Light Chocolate and vanilla. Some spicyness, from the yeast? Rye doesn't seem prominent.
Overly light body. Hint of alcohol. Smooth but not full.
Somewhere between a regular and imperial porter. Good but a little bit of a let down.
