Just in time for March madness, Richbrau comes out with a beer to satisfy the masses who will be parked in front of the big screens all month long. This lager is darker than a macro light, sort of a pale gold. The smell is lightly maltish with no hint of adjuncts, but also nothing that would reveal any complexity. Nice balanced flavor, with carbonation and mild hops countering the light sweetness. This tasted like a beer at least, not like a watered down corn soda. Mouthfeel was light but not unexpected. Obviously, this was brewed to be drinkable and it certainly is. A growler for the macro drinkers would work when watching the end of the ACC tourney or carrying your friends through the long long long first two rounds of the NCAA.
