A: Clear brown, white head. Good retention, nice lacing.
S: Nice fruity hoppy ale. Brown sugar and a little smoky, grainy malt back it up.
T: Smoky, slightly fruity, and hoppy. Alcohol gives it a nice kick. Some citrus would make it a bit better, but it's still really good for the style. More bready than usual for an IPA.
M: Thick and creamy, coats the mouth, a little oily.
D: Drinks wonderfully. A great beer.

On-tap at Richbrau brewpub.
Only listed as the "India Pale Ale" on the chalkboard, I am assuming (since it was listed under the seasonal section) that my "India Pale Ale" is indeed the Hop Hog Ale.
A clear buned orange in appearance. As with all of the Richbrau beers I've sampled, the head was sturdy and did a very nice job of lacing the glass. Aroma was subtle, but a certain "fruitiness" was noted. Taste was mildly bitter. Crisp and dry finish with a slight puckering effect. Mouthfeel was good. On the creamy side and quite smooth. Overall, a decent IPA. Nothing too hoppy or complex. A good thirst-quencher.

Mmmmm...this was like a HopDevil clone. Had a medium-to-dark copper color, with a thin head and light lacing. Nose was boldly floral, but not quite hop-assertive as HopDevil. Mouthfeel real good: medium body, and good smoothness. Some malt trying to make it's presence known at the start, but shoved aside by very floral, very hoppy notes. Lots of citrus showing up too, notably grapefruit. Best bier of the day at Richbrau! Prosit!!
