Flip-top 500ml bottle: best before 30 Jan 2012, Poured into a Wolnzacher Brauhaus badged tall glass tankard at home on 4th Nov 2012.
Old gold in colour, slight haze to the body, with a full and lasting head of white foam.
Yeasty and malty: both in the aroma and taste. Fruity notes blend in with those yeast and bready malts already mentioned. The flavours come together nicely and produce a fairly sweet tasting, easy drinking beer I struggled to pigeon hole into a style or class of beer. A German Land Ale if there was such a class of bier.
Not the sort of smell and taste I was expecting from a small German brew House. Very British actually. I really liked it and will make the effort to visit Bad Münstereifel (twinned with Ashford in Kent) again one day.
