Appearance - dark brownish-red, small cap and collar but maintains well.
Aroma - sweeter, kind of raisiny, can't pick up much due to bar smoke.
Taste - caramel malt base, raisiness mixed in. Fruity citrus hops dominate the sides and back of the palate. Great balance, great mix of flavors. Potent alcohol presence but it serves to enhance the flavor profile very well. A complete beer.
Mouthfeel - somewhat thick, though not exactly chewy. I think the hops keep it too lively for that. A good old ale feel, for sure, well done.
Drinkability - Barrelhouse beers are competent across the board, but this one really excels. This is a staff favorite at BH and hopefully they will not have to go without for too long before the new brewery location/setup is complete. Hurry back BarrelHouse, I miss ya already!

Tasted at the Barrelhouse Brewing Company Microbrew Fest on November 9. Dark amber color and a potpourri aroma. Strong and complex flavor of raisins and hops. This beer was interesting to the end of my 3oz cup.

Ruby color, persistant off-white head.
Rich, slightly heavy mouthfeel. Buttery diacetyl notes in the taste.
Somewhat hoppy finish, but the malt lingers on the tongue.
On the whole, a very drinkable beer, and a nice addition to the Barrel House's lineup.
