This is a WOW beer. I overhead another patron inquirying about cask-conditioned ale as he waited for a quarter barrel fill of Cumberland Pale Ale. He seemed to like his so I ordered up a pint before I realized that this baby is 10.0 ABV. The pint came looking quite yummy with a cloudy honey color and a small ivory head. The small head was densely built and looked quite creamy. The head stayed present throughout the glass and created great lacing. The taste was just super - a great blend of the heavy malting, adequate hopping and heavy alcohol content. This must be sipped as it is very powerful and creates quite an impact. The barman said he never allows more than 3 of these to any one customer. The body feel was full and creamy getting its crispness from the alcohol rather than carbonation. Very filling beer and worth the extra buck per pint.
