This beer is no longer available (it's a seasonal) so I'm reviewing from memory and a few very sketchy notes (more on that later). This is basically Arrogant Bastard on steroids. The alcohol rating says it all. I threw down a few pints of this the night it became available and I could barely walk home (hence the sketchy almost illegible notes). Heavily hopped but just as heavily malted. High viscosity. All of the wonderful IPA citrus notes and yet so much more. Really a winter beer and a competitor to their winter belgian and stout styles. I love this breweries willingness to experiment. It usually pays off and especially in this case.

A cloudy dark amber ale that creates a single finger ivory head. Lingering head. Very full nose of both malt and hops. The hops seemed very floral to me. The taste is fairly well balanced between the malting and the hops. My sense is that this is a bit light on hops for an IPA. Good lacing, nose, and taste make this a very nice ale.
