I got a 6pck of cans of this beer from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a clear amber with very thin ring white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had subtle sweet malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet caramel malt base with grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Poured from a twelve ounce can, the body is amber with white fluffy head. Good lacing.
Aroma is a nutty malt and a light hop. Taste follows nose with a bit more malt and a light caramel sweetness. Finish brings a welcome light hop bite that balances the beer.
Medium mouthfeel and strong carbonation.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid little fest pours a medium amber with a
moderate head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin layer, and displays some
nice light lacing. Nose of toasted malts, light breaded malts, and subtle herbal hops
amidst the caramel. Flavors surpass the nose with caramel malts, toasted malts, bread
crust, herbal hops, earthy malt notes, and subtle peach hints. Mouth feel is medium, medium
light carbonation, smooth, and finishing nicely balanced between herbal hops and toasted malts.
Overall----SOLID!
Cheers

Deep amber gold color with lasting cap and lacing.
Aroma of toasty, roasty caramel malt with herbal spicy hops.
Unusual for me in an Oktoberfest the first thing I taste are the hops. Malt is rich and layered with elements of both sweet malt and toasted/roasted malt yet there is no hint of roasted malt bitterness. Nor sweetness for that matter which may be due to the abundant hop presence. Fairly complex and consistent to the end.
Medium full texture with balancing carbonation.
A surprising Oktoberfest for me (wasn't expecting the amount of hopping) yet one I rather enjoy. Over the years I've had a number of fairly simple malt rich Oktoberfest versions and frankly I'm glad I came across this one where hops shine without becoming too bright to cast the malt into shadow. Well played.

12 ounce bottle into dimpled mug, bottled in fall 2015. Pours crystal clear deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, grass, light pepper, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Oktoberfest style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. This was a touch hoppy for the style, but everything else was spot on. A very enjoyable offering.

The beer pours a very dark copper with an off-white head that poured about two finger-widths thick into a pint glass.
Very interesting aroma... A little hint of that toasted caramel that you would expect from a Maren, but that is overpowered by a much sweeter aroma. Perhaps honey, or almost banana.
The initial taste is sweet. In the middle the beer has a hint of the toasted caramel taste that you would expect from an Oktoberfest, but it is accompanied by a strong smoked taste similar to a dopple bock. The beer finishes with a smokey sweetness.
The mouthfeel is rich and the carbonation is very balanced.
Overall, this was a lot more than I expected from a beer made in Toledo, OH. It is a rather complex take on the Oktoberfest style.

Interesting taste, best way for me to describe it is a fuller bud light ( I know yuck) but this was a decent beer. I poured redish and was transparent in a clear glass

2015 vintage. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a glowing dark copper, but has clarity; fluffy off-white head that slowly fades leaving nice retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are full of grains. Lots of caramel in the mix as well. Fresh bread and malts. The flavors are very nice. Lots of caramel with hints of toffee. Hints of cherry as well. Malts do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's very creamy and fluffy. Smooth stuff.
This is a very nice Oktoberfest. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really like it. Another well done Oktoberfest coming from Ohio.
