[Appearance: 3.0] This porter is a thick medium-dark brown with a tan head that starts off at about half a finger and fades down while leaving little lace in its wake.
[Aroma: 4.0] The nose presents lots of sweet blueberry, less tart but with a certain richness, so to speak, in their smell. It lays behind a nice roast that offers support without overpowering the main aspect.
[Flavor: 3.5] The main element in the flavor is the roast, having notes of coffee in it along with some bitter dark cocoa. The blueberry is regulated to a secondary flavor but pulls in at the end of the middle and into the finish well.
[Mouthfeel: 4.0] It's got a good body for a porter, fairly thick but not heavy and with a firm crispness that cuts through without being too high or spritzy. This allows a good flow while the tongue is coated with a creamy, but not slick, texture.
