This was one of two beers brewed for the "Love Local, Buy Local" event on 9/6/14.
It sort of toes the line between yellow and orange, a bit paler than the Glass City pale. It's got a sudsy head right about 3/4 finger tall that keeps up pretty well and sticks pretty nicely as well, some netting forming after a fairly thick ring settles at the top of the glass.
Lemongrass prevails but integrates very well; it's at once soft and firm in its character. There's some additional citrus, some juicy sort of pith, a bit of a resinous note, and some grassy hops with maybe a little, very gentle peppery note. It's balanced less by caramel than biscuit, though both even it out. Ultimately, it reminds me more of MBBC's Summit Street pale ale (which is awesome) than its Glass City (which is very, very good). It just has more of the fresh, greener, sort of hybrid German-American character to it with refreshing grassiness and citrus zest added by the lemongrass.
It's crisp and smooth in almost equal measure, the crispness biting firmly in a medium body that stays where it should for the style. It's right at the median between sweet and dry, easing a little drier bitterness into the finish.
