This latest of only a few Belgians in MBBC's brewing history is a thick dark orange with a foamy, creamy tan head that caps at one finger and deposits patching with goos strength and volume.
This beer shows off lots of fruits, and seemingly in variety from juicier citrus to ripe dark fruits, lots of tart and sweet cherry coming out. Overall, the fruity overtone seems to be the result both of alcoholic esters and yeast, though there are cherries added in the boil as I later learned. It rides from the start well into the finish. All in all, it's sweet but not too sweet, displaying plenty of alcohol with its own complexities but not much heat, weaving in very well.
The body is medium, plenty going on in a balance of crispness and smoothness and a light dryness coming in to cut the sweetness effectively and add depth.
