This IPA is an extremely thick but bright medium-dark orange. Cask conditioning doesn't allow for much of a head, but there's some bubbling activity on top of this beer and some spotting dropped in its wake.
The mango is rich in this beer, somewhat sweet with a very particular musty and juicy tropical note to it. There's plenty of clean hoppiness to it, and Glaxy was a good one to pair with the mango as it imparts some additional citric bitterness that keeps it juicy. It has a dusty and even slightly woody sort of earthiness running underneath.
Served room temperature, as it should be, I could see that some people might take time to get used to cask conditioning. What it imparts, though, is worth it regardless. This beer is thick but moves well, some crispness running nimbly through and nipping the tongue while it runs smooth as silk, surprisingly good even for an IPA. The smoothness and cleanness given this beer is a definite benefit.
