This is a thick orange color, bright but much too heavy in color to see anything through. The head is surprisingly tall and strong, holding up well over a finger for almost the full session while dropping some really good sticky lacing all the way to the bottom of the glass.
The tangerine doesn't disappoint, and it also doesn't muddle or shadow the hops. They come out a little more in the flavor, while the nose displays both the sweetness and citric tartness overtop. It mingles altogether in the flavor, with a pleasant bitterness plays off the sharper notes without overly accentuating them. There's just a hint of rind, and the citrus offsets more earthy and woody sort of hops.
The body isn't as thick as it looks, allowing for a firm crispness while letting the cask conditioning smooth it out nicely. It rolls very nicely on the tongue without losing the bite or the movement, giving it lots of depth on the palate.
