On a recent train trip, had a several hour layover in Toledo. Decided to walk the .4 miles from Amtrak to Maumee Bay/Mutz to taste a couple of hommade brews. Belgian Wit was on-tap, as one would expect during the summer months. Quite a deal at $2.50 a pint on a Thursday night.
Poured a yellow-orangish, hazy color with a small white head.
Smell was of orange and wheat. Pretty basic to the style, but pretty nice.
Taste was dominated by citrus and wheat. There was a very acidy, orange flavor, along with hints of grapefruit. Bitter and light. Not bad.
Mouthfeel was light and crisp. There was a nice astringent bitterness as well.
On the whole, this is a very nice and easy drinking summer brew. It is a good and fully enjoyable representation of the style. Certainly the type of beer you'd like to have several of on a warm summer day or evening.

This was a fine brew for a summer night. Served in a pint glass, color was hazy straw yellow topped by a finger of white head. Sweet banana aroma also contained yeast and spice. Very inviting smell. Taste was smooth and a little sweet. The Belgian yeast is very apparent, bringing with it a lot of breadiness. Bananas are there in the flavor, but are kept in check by coriander and bitter orange peel, possibly some other spices. Mouthfeel seemed a little heavy for this style, possibly due to the low carbonation, but I found it smooth and delicious. I had to order a second one.

Appearance: A slightly hazy yellow with a nice white head that lays on top. The head fades to a lace and it is fairly sticky down the glass.
Smell: The aroma was very sweet. There was some spiciness to it also. I found it to be very inviting especially on this warm humid day.
Taste: Very refreshing. There is an initial sweetness then a hint of clove and spices. The beer then finishes fairly clean and crisp.
Mouthfeel: A faily medium mouthfeel on this beer. It was good for the style. It was light enough to be refreshing but heavy enough to be a sipper.
A very good beer that complimented my fish well.
