Great color and head, enticing aroma, yummy feel and taste...this little number has it all....was attracted by the fun can design and the unknown brewer... very glad I swallowed it

16 fl oz can
Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass

This beer pours a turbid, dull, bronze color. It is topped with two inches of creamy, beige head that leaves lacing rings.

It has an odd fruity aroma. It is a weird combination of citrus and ripe, red fruit. Citrus becomes more the focus as it warms.

The taste is odd, too. I don't even know how to describe it. I do get more citrus as it warms and the more I consume. But is just has an off flavor that I can't pinpoint.

Medium

This beer is unlike any NEIPA that I have tried. I am not sure if my palate was compromised, or I got a bad can. I have three more to try and will update my review if I find a different experience.

Looks like a NEIPA, but I don't like that look
Nice dank aroma upfront, then lots of mango and some passionfruit.
A little piney, lots of tropical flavors, a bit sweet.
Very soft, full mouthfeel.
It's good, but I just don't think I can get too into NEIPAs

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 2/2/2018. Pours moderately hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this an excellent NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Very juicy and lightly dank Citra hop complexity; nice sized bready malt backbone, not overly sweet/heavy. This was pretty harsh and resinous/drying on the finish when I had the first canned batch, but is much more improved now. Impressively soft mouthfeel. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a completely cloudy and hazy golden with bubbles racing upwards; chunky white head that slowly falls leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. It looks just like your classic "New England IPA". The aromas are herbal, earthy and woodsy. Some subtle tropical and citrus notes in the background. Bread and malts are there. The flavors have some juicy characteristics along with a solid bitterness. Some tropical notes and finishes with some citrus. Herbal hop flavor along with some pine. Malts do their thing. Finishes juicy and slightly spicy. Possibly some rye or black pepper in the mix. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's ultimately smooth and fun to drink.

This is a really nice brew. The craftsmanship is impressive. It stays true to the "New England IPA" style.
