A: This one's a thick medium brown with dark red hues. The small, lightly tinted head leaves some legs and spotting behind.
S: A strong barrel character, this one reminds me of a well-aged bourbon. It's got some light caramel and vanilla notes with a complement from hops bitterness, floral and woody. There are definitely some oak notes in here.
T: Full of flavor, it's an even battle between sweet and bitter, cloying and dry. It finds the balance, though, offering plenty of barrel character (maybe even a light char?) and making the alcohol noticeable but not overpowering.
F: Full-bodied, this beer goes for smoothness over crispness without sacrificing it entirely and does it right.
