From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This fine brew pours
a dark coal black with a moderate head of tan foam that
settles to a thick ring and a thin light layer. Nose of dark
berries, faint chocolate malts, and subtle dark roast. Flavors
surpass the nose with obvious elderberry/blackberry and
dark cherry notes with dark bittersweet cocoa and dark roasted
malts with a touch of coffee. Nice mouth feel; medium full body,
medium light carbonation that is lightly effervescent, and a lightly
tart berry and cocoa laden finish.
Overall, another VERY nice brew from a great little brewery in Ohio!
