The color is a pale amber with a copper hue. Even straight off the tap, there's very little by way of head, already having dissipated to a foam that likewise quickly disappeared. There's no activity in the glass, either. Even for MMBC, not particularly known for the head on its beers, this one's light.
The aroma is nice: a balance of citrus hops and sweet malt with a firm grains backing.
A grapefruit hops flavor comes out first in the flavor, with the malt coming out in front in terms of strength. There's actually a pretty good balance between both with a little something in terms of sweetness added and a leafy dryness in the finish, which includes a grains presence that's in the flavor the whole way through.
The mouthfeel is refreshing with a nice crispness. it's not particularly smooth, though enough to balance it, and seems on par to the style. The body is light to medium and carbonation is light.
