Comes out a cloudy rusty orange under a 1.5 finger off-white head that settles very slowly, leaving nice sheets of lace. The sweet malted nose bears just a hint of caramel. The mouth is light and very well carbonated. A quite neutral opening yields to sweetish grain and a hint of caramel. A shadow of hops dries things out a bit, but never quite makes things bitter. Just a tickle at the back of the throat characterizes the aftertaste, which does manage to invite another sip. Unspectacular, but certainly drinkable, and at least it truly was fresh.
