Comes out a slightly hazy caramel gold under a thick 1 finger beige head with decent retention and a multitude of lace rings. The nose is slightly sweet, with malt and a hint of straw. The mouth is light and well carbonated, leaving the palate clean. There is a slightly sweet caramel opening with a mild touch of grape. An ever so slight hop bitterness emerges on the swallow, while the aftertaste is sweet and grainy. This could be a Märzen, if not for the clear twang of alcohol that emerges late and adds a layer of grain to the aftertaste. Nice product.
