Well crafted brew and non offensive brew served at right temperature.
Color is a light amber with rich orange hues. Head is lasting, lace leaving, and almost gobby. Smell has the expected smokiness but a sweet and mild malt aroma is in the forefront. Taste is surprsingly smooth and here again, a mild sweetness, reminiscent of Sam Adams Oktoberfest, is the primary taste. Smoke is light but apparent...no charcoal taste whatsoever. Taste is pleasant and absolutely not offensive. The smokey qualities are interesting but not overwhelming. One of the better beers Ive had in Austria.
