Pours a solid sunny yellow color.
Smell is sweet corn and a slight trace of floral smell?
Taste is sweet with a taste of citrus and banana? Alcohol is present in the taste, but isn't a problem If you drink strong brews on a regular basis. There is a mild perfume/flowers flavor here. Not a fine beer, but it isn't water either!
Mouthfeel is present and thick enough to notice.
Very drinkable for what it is, a cheap beer. For a "Light Beer" this is outstanding! The can says 151 Calories, and 10.2 Carbs per 12 Ounces, THAT isn't a Light beer! ;). Considering the fact that I expected this to be a barely drinkable beer this is good, or at least is three or four times better than a Budweiser.
I think that it is an Indictment of the current state of Macrobrews that “Malt Liquor” tastes better than
A regular Macrobrew!

Dang I used to love the Black Star Black Lager these guys put out..i thought they were out of business..but I have began to see 24 oz cans of this Light appearing.
Appearance is pretty average american macro..pale yellow but with a good sized white head..it goes fast to leave a slight lace.
Smell is non-existant..some hops maybe.
This is not the same Black Star I remember..this is weak weak macro puke....no malts some small hops but very feeble this is meant to be "double hopped" or so the can says..maybe that means 0.0001% hp compared to 0.00005%?
Not impressed by the yukky mouthfeel
Not drinkable.
What the heck happened to this company...ahhhh now Isee its no longer brewed in Montana, but in Milwaukie Wisconsin..I smell a macro take over of this company and it sucks

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
