Nice looking shade of scarlet red. Pretty good clarity. A thin creamy beige head coats with sporadic rings. The nose has nice toasted malt character to it. A little sweetness too. This beer is pretty good. There's a really nice toasted malt presence on the palate as well. Vienna malts really make their presence known. Some dry hop tones leave a bit of a thirst quenching quality on the palate. And some slight caramel and toffee malt tones accent as well. Now this one I would buy if it were around here. Very nice offering.

Gotta send props to BudGood1 for the nice selection. Thanks.

Seems more of a red ale than lager....more character than most red lagers but not as clean looking or tasting....pours a firey reddish orange...cloudy....nose is spicy and toasty...wuite interesting and nice....

Medium to full bodied...substantial for a lager....a little bite of piney hops on the long finish...taste is heavy on the malt at first....toasty...spicy hops compliment nicely and then on the deep finish it closes with the piney hop bite...

Pretty tasty beverage...certainly not a run-of-the mill amber lager....solid offering..thanks to Budgood1 for this experience..

pours out a dark amber colour, with a heavy cloud of sediment "fogging" things up a bit in the glass. the head is smallish but thick and staying....leaving rings of lace. the aroma is full of fresh hops...the bottle states chinook and tettnang are used...they come off as spicy and "festive". the malt reminds me of some winter/x-mas brews i've smelled before. upon tasting...i'm surprised by the full mouthfeel in this lager and the malt profile. the label also states that there are some specialty malts used, and i'm guessing they are of the belgian variety. fruity, spicy, with some caramel and chocolate malt notes...very tasty. the hopping adds a hint of citrusy and piney flavour, with a slight bittering in the finish. there are lots of "ale" qualities about this beer...the yeast used adds some fruity qualities, too. maybe this a lager beer using ale yeast, since there is a great deal of sediment. if i were to sample this in a blind taste test, i would swear this is a winter seasonal or x-mas brew. regardless...it's a tasty and unique brew that i would recommend everyone sample.
