500 ml bottle, as Belhaven Robert Burns Scottish Ale, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.2%. Copper coloured beer, big and lasting off-white head. Predominantly malty aroma, but also some fruity hops and vinous notes, hints of berries, oak and honey. The flavour has notes of the same elements, but the hops are very moderate, and do not leave much bitterness for the aftertaste. Still a decent and very drinkable beer.

Clear chestnut brown. Long lasting but thin head.
Fresh hops offset by a rather mouldy aroma.
Tastes of brown bread.
Moderate carbonation.
Quite ordinary really.

mid brown body with reddish hues and a head that donuts surface about 75%
Wholemeal dough & copper coins on aroma and flavour some skunking
adequate mouthfeel and slightly too fizzy

500 ml clear bottle purchased and consumed in Fife. Label now says "Robert Burns Brown Ale" but still lists 4.2% ABV.

Pours with a bright copper body topped by a good head. Medium+ body and carbonation.

Aroma: a bit more more English hops than malts.

Flavor: More ESB than Scottish Ale? Lasting, mildly bitter, malty aftertaste.
