Copenhagen 1/7 2018. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Strange green label with orange bricks and a Mango looking quite Horrified.
Pours clear golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as a thin, patchy layer of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is quite sweet and has a weird chemical twist. Sugary, with some exotic fruit. Subdued citric notes.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery texture.
Flavor is quite sweet but not so strong as indicated by the aroma. Followed by a slightly weaker bitterness. Aftertaste is prominently sourish bitter. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry.
Kind of strange take on a IPA. Chemical, and medicinal sweetness with a quite subdued hop profile.

Drank from a regular glass, murky yellow hue, high carbonation. Sweet smell, some mango smell. Taste is bitter sweetish with artificial tasting mango. Mouthfeel is synthetic and overpowering sense of chemical mangoes, some residual sweetness covers up the synthetic mouthfeel. Unpleasant.

A 330ml can with a BB of June 2019. Purchased recently from Morrisons. As the name implies, this is an IPA infused with mango.
A: Poured into a tulip. A bright orange-amber hue with excellent clarity and intense carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a while before settling as a thick surface layer. Slight lacing.
S: Aroma of sweet mango with hints of juice, mild tropical fruit, subtle leafiness, ale yeast and faint caramel malt. Overall it has a perfumed quality that comes across as artificial and slightly cloying.
T: Tastes of aromatic mango with notes of light tropical fruit, juice, mild leafiness, ale yeast, subtle earthiness and a touch of caramel malt. A faint harshness lurks in the background. Quite dry, followed by a modest bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with fizzy carbonation and decent body. A tad thin for the strength and mildly astringent. Aftertaste of perfumed mango, tropical fruit juice, bitter leafy hops, ale yeast and faint malt.
O: Hmmmm - not brilliant. The mango character is just too fake. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are overwhelmed by fruity mango notes. Harsh finish. So-so body. Compared with their grapefruit effort this doesn't go down well - the mango tastes like it was synthesised in a lab and the hop character is underdeveloped. Give it a miss.
