Copenhagen 29/8 2022. 50 cl clear glass bottle from Lidl, Frederikssundsvej, Brønshøj. Very dark label with some remote Scottish Islands.

Pours clear dark brown with a red hue and a mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with salty, sea water. Dark malts. Lightly roasted. Caramel. Licorice and sea weed.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Salty tang. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Lingers for bit. Finish is rather dry.

A bit on the thin side - but with a nice salty touch.

Look: Jet black with an inch thick light-mocca colored creamy and soft head

Aroma: roasted malts, caramel, and vanilla.

Flavor: The flavor is roasted malts, caramel, and vanilla. It is a fairly mild and somewhat sweet stout, but most people would probably like that.

Body/Overall: The Nitro is amazing. The foam is creamy like ice cream.

Bought a can of this beer at the Dallas Craft Beer Cellar. Poured into a tumbler. Clear dark brown color with a thick creamy beige head and nice curtain lacing. Smell and taste of chocolate and toasted malt. Hint of licorice. Silky smooth. Good with food.

Nitro can. Almost black with creamy tan head. Aroma light chocolate and prune. Taste gentle and balanced. Light soy sauce and roastiness. Fairly Good but not great.

Poured from the nitro can into a tulip pint glass. This has absolutely perfect and long-lasting nitro cascading bubble action - a beautiful spectacle to behold. It's lighter in color and has a few sinkies (as opposed to floaties) keeping the look from a perfect 5.0. The aroma and smell are muted, some caramel malt, not much hops, and a sourish twang. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. Overall one of the prettiest beers I've ever seen, nitro or otherwise, besides that not worth seeking out. But that nitro pour...wow!

From an undated 440 ml. can sampled on June 30, 2023.

Since it is nitro-infused it looks lovely with its jet black color under a soft, delicate beige head that sticks around to the end.

The aroma is sweet dark roasted malts, caramel, peat, vanilla. cream, and char.

Light mouthfeel. Smooth though.

The taste is rich and sweet with dark roasted malts, vanilla, and only a light bitterness to end it. Easy drinking.

Opaque black body; incredibly dense and creamy, bone-white head, very long lasting; dense sheets of foam paint the inside of the glass. Muted aroma; some sense of lightly toasted, cocoa-infused grain; mildly sweet on the nose; vanilla. Low-key taste; very dull cocoa and black malt; muted sweetness; very dull vanilla sense. Heavy body; delicate velvet notes; extremely smooth.

I truly do not like nitro-infused beers. Make no mistake, the appearance and mouthfeel are near extraordinary with this beer, but the cost comes at the soft deadening of the flavor and aroma. Oh, I wouldn't turn down another can or two (or three) of this, yet the heart of the beer seems to be somewhat bludgeoned into mediocrity. Well, that's my take on it.

Pouring temperature: 48 °F; canning info: L2235

Canned 8/23/22; drank 4/21/23 @ the Yarchives.

Mostly opaque brown/orange appearance.

A violent pour yielded a nice, noisy tan nitro head; a thick curtain of lace remained.

Oats, cream & faint chocolate notes in the nose.

Thin, yet somehow creamy mouthfeel.

Cream, oats & mild chocolate flavors.

Creamy, mild, and mildly enjoyable. It'll do in a pinch.

drinking this i was thinking to myself its more like a european black lager than a stout, really light in body for that, and even in color, where its more deep chestnut red in the light than black, medium brown at the most, but the nitro cans are cool, dont think ive ever seen this before, or maybe just never noticed it, an obvious choice at a classic british pub for me, pretty nitro head on it, great retention, it never fades only gets more airy. the nose on this is cool, a touch stale which is common and to me permissible in these sorts of styles, muted a little by the nitro, but earthy, grainy, and with a familiar yeast strain from their other beers, earthy and wet and irish type, although i know this is scottish beer. it tastes a little darker than it looks or smells, some roast to this, even tar or something, tobacco, licorice spice for sure, and a lot of deep dark bready malts without it being sweet, faint raisin, peat, and wood to this, very organic and old worldy to me, and i love the yeast element, slightly doughy i suppose, almost no hops at all appreciable in here, although there is some bitterness at the end from the darkest of grain. i like the depth here, and the drinkability is high for the color. the smooth nitro texture is right on for this, and i came away quite stoked on this weird little beer. the low alcohol and the nitro and the coffee notes as it warms make it an excellent morning drink. a great start to a very beery day yesterday!

Great Nitro head, tall, white, thick and creamy.
Roasted Maltiness.
Feels pretty watery. Guess that's why it goes down very easy.
Too weak for my taste.
