Best Matilda Bay beer. Pity they scrapped it.
Now that I'm home brewing, I'll try to replicate it. Hopefully I can find the recipe for it somewhere. Far superior to any of their other pale ales.

From bottle, i get fruity aromas, subtle spice and pepper notes, and a zesty clean finish. The result a refreshing, cloudy and cleansing ale. Not to bad.

345ml bottle. 08 Jun 15. Pale gold colour, creamy, white head with good retention and left some nice lacing and rings. Weak aroma of damp cardboard and raw grains. Underwhelming sweetness and bitterness. Light bodied, blah texture and a dry, yet subtly unpleasant sour finish. Not interesting enough to be horrible, just disappointing. 4.

Format: an embossed brown 345mL bottle with a cute label with an old-school duck.
Appearance: pours out a hazy gold colour with a thin white head. Looks okay.
Aroma: a light aroma of fruit and some malts. Pretty boring.
Taste: again quite a dull fruit and malt flavour here - this beer is a big disappointment.
Aftertaste: the flavours drop away very quickly. A bit of a nothing beer.
Mouth feel: light in body and a bit watery. A lower carbonation that really doesn't help this beer at all.
Overall: Matilda Bay have some really nice beers, but more and more that are coming out now are pretty ordinary, like this one. A very disappointing and boring beer from Matilda Bay. Not worth AU$56 a case.
