Brewed at Matilda Bay in Dandenong for the Australian National Homebrewers Conference 2010.
A - Pours an opaque very dark brown with a 2cm beige head that falls fairly quickly.
S - Roasted barley with chocolate and coffee notes. Some subtle dark fruit notes and liqourice character.
T - Really much the same as the smell with the liqourice being more dominant.
M - Medium to full bodied, low carbonation. Firm but not over the top bitterness.
D - I wish I had more. This goes to show what a good brewery CAN do. Just a shame they don't do it more often.
