This is a revived version, aged in Red Wine Barrels of the days from the Sail and Anchor Brewery in Fremantle who pioneered this beer from the late 80's
A - Well it has the oily look that pours with a large bubbled tanned Beige head that dies quickly
S - Bits of vinous wood moving towards an Oud Bruin aroma
T - Heaps of Toffee, marshmallow and vanilla before the barrel aging kicks in of Red Wine and a slightly tart tobacco finish
M- The best feature. Chewy and full bodied with low to medium carbonation
O - This is a very well rounded full flavored stout and well worth the price tag.
I'm glad these pioneering Craft beers are being revived.
