Had a blether and scran with this one on 11/19/2004. 16-oz. shaker pint at the source in the heart of the Upper Valley.
Beeriodical/food menu stated this was a Mild Amber Scotch Ale. Light film of thin cream head at start that stuck, and then laced all the way down. Amber to deeply golden, molten rock hue with good clarity. Some light roastiness on the nose with a good malt backing and some ethereal floral notes. Soft on the tongue with a soothing malt flow and just a touch of nice scorching that lent the brew a pleasant overall profile. I would hazard to say that this medium-bodied ale could session quite well.
