Off the tap at the brewery this beer was a amber color with a think khaki head. The head fizzed out almost immediately and left tiny spots of lacing - rather sad looking. The aroma was classic- toasted malt, some sweet malt, a touch of caramel and bitterness. Similarly, the flavors were balanced. Light bitterness of citrus rind, some herbal notes and a toasted malt backbone. The hop profile was bigger than the malt profile and I thought it more a fall style than spring. However, it was still a solid beer. The mouthfeel was creamy, the body medium and the carbonation perfect.
