Sampled a pint of Al's Bock at Seven Barrel this evening.

A: Very dark brown revealing faint maroon highlights when held to a light. Thin tan head leaves just a bit of web lacing.

S: Dark notes of smoke, coffee, bitter chocolate, green wood.

T: Sweet caramel, smoke, coffee, vanilla, some mixed hops. Finishes with creamy caramel and vanilla with a bit of lingering hop.

M/D: Great creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation, medium-heavy body, no alcohol detected. Much thicker than 7 Barrel's usual offerings, which tend to be on the thin side. I'd put it at ~5-6% ABV. Very good and very drinkable, best beer I've had from them. Tempted to pick up a growler of it.
