Stopped back into Seven Barrel on 11NOV12, on the return trip from Burlington. After a pint of Tony's Wicked, I went with this to wash down my tasty burger...
Had a shaker pint glass brimming with a deep, deep dark brown libation. It was dense and opaque, with a creamy, frothy beige head up top, plus some really nice lace. Roasty malts and some nice smokyness made up the aroma here. It was fairly smooth going down, but just a touch too thin for me.
Caramel and toffee notes started things off, with a good sweetness level for the style. It then became roasty, along with some choco in addition to the smoke aspect lingering in the background. This one was real nice; a keeper imo... Prosit!
