poured into a brew co willi, with a thick medium brown head and decent lacing. Really quite sexy.

Smells of rich malts and a nice hop profile that blends with a chocolatey and coffee nose.

Smooth with a bite at the end. Malts are so prominent but not to overpower the hops. super balanced.

Mouthfeel is a bit over carbonated but drinks incredibly easy and is what I would call a textbook examplt of an american Porter.

Had on tap in a brew co willy

A-Deep brown does not block out the light directly but a good head and laceing.

S-Very roasted malt, notes of chocolate and villina.

T-Rich rosted malt with big nuttyness that was kind of a suprise in the middle/finish solid offering.

M-Pretty straightforward porter not overly complex but very good.

D-Had a pitcher and would have had more easy to drink and very sessionable.

This poured a deep brown color with white creamy head that lasted throughout. It had a cascading effect that was reminiscent of a Guinness pour, but I found this to be a much better beer. Flavor and aroma was of chocolate, toffee, and roasted malts. Mouthfeel was great. I really enjoyed this beer.

Deep brown almost black body topped with a big beige head. Aroma of coffee, caramel and roasted malt with flavors of the same along with a little dark fruit and bitterness. Had a full and extremely creamy body. Very good beer, but I couldn't have more than one or two due to the heavy body.

Black brown in color with a light brown head and the typical reverse cascading head from the nitro-tap.

The nose was a faint touch of sweet roastiness and light coffee notes.

Full bodied and creamy almost to a fault. Roasty chocolate and coffee flavors typify the round malt center. A bit of plum or raisin like fruit fades in and out going quickly dry in the finish.

Glad to see they put this beer back in the brewery's regular lineup. More like a stout for this kid, but I'm not complaining. An old time favorite, I'm happy to see it's as good as I remembered.

Appreciate the bartenders patience with the nitro-tap SuperHead which persisted til and end and may the second washing of the glass! Held to strong sunlight only the thick bottom refracted some ruby glints. All else eclipsed the light as if it were the rock solid moon itself! The brown fine foamy head and typical porter's thin mouthfeel along with aroma of caramel and chocolate were all good. Found something in the taste that seemed a little out of place - but a great Reuben sandwitch that accompanied this Porter may have been the culpret.

This company is turning out very sound beer and will get more of my attention.

Found my notes from our visit during our recent Rt. 66 trip, so this is a little out of date. Yet it's a fine establishment that can use a shout out on these pages. This porter is almost stoutlike in its smoothness and color. Low bitterness when sipping, but then a nice ring of hops starts to come through in the aftertaste.
