12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of orange peel, grassy hops and toasted caramel. Sweet caramel and citrus flavor with a touch of piney bitterness.

I got a bottle of Springfield Brewing's Day Pack that my brother is sharing with me. I've never had anything from this brewery and I haven't heard much about them either, but i'm interested to see what they are all about, so lets see how it goes. 2016 Vintage. Poured from a brown 12oz bottle in a IPA glass.
A- The label is nice, it's got a nice design that goes well with the name and it's just a little eye catching. It poured a cloudy and slightly muddy orange/amber color that took on more of a orange color when held to the light with a little over a fingers worth of off white bubbly head that died down to a thin ring that eventually faded away and it left a little bit of spotty lacing behind. This is a nice looking beer, but I wish it wasn't so hazy.
S- The aroma starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness with the hops being the first to show up and they impart a mix of citrus rinds, floral hops, soapy hops and some generic hop aromas with no single one sticking out the most. Up next comes a little bit of doughy yeast and towards the end comes the malts which impart a bready, bread crust, grainy, pale malt, caramel malt and light toasted aroma. This beer had a nice aroma, but it didn't need those soapy hops.
T- The taste seems to be similar to the aroma, but lighter and it starts off with a lower amount of medium sweetness with the hops still being the first to show up and they impart all the same aspects, but they are a little lighter this time and no single one sticky out the most. Up next comes a little bit of doughy yeast which leads right into the malts which impart all the same aspects that they did in the aroma and they show up just a little more. On the finish there's a light amount of bitterness with a slightly hoppy, slightly malty and watery aftertaste. This is a decent tasting beer, but the flavors were too light and that made it a little on the bland side.
M- Smooth, crisp, clean, light bodied with a higher amount of slightly prickly carbonation. The mouthfeel is good and it works well with this beer.
Overall I thought this beer was just ok and I thought it was very average for the style, I'm pretty sure the brewery is going for a session IPA even though all it says is that it's an easy drinking ale and as a session IPA it's on the very light end of the spectrum almost like a light beer. This beer didn't have the best drinkability, one is enough for me, the flavors couldn't hold my attention. What I like the most about this beer is the mouthfeel, it's good and it's the highlight of this beer. What i like the least about this beer is the taste and drinkability they are that good and they hold this beer back. I would buy this beer if I saw it and I can't say I would recommend it. All in all I wasn't too impressed with this one and the taste left me wanting more out of it. It didn't make for a good first impression for this brewery and it's average at best for the style. Better luck next time, this one could use some work and a clear indication as to what style you are going for.

Beautiful and dank. Right on the line between American Pale and Session IPA.

This beer has changed from when it first was introduced. Still a good session ipa but doesn't smell as good or taste as bright and citrus as it used too.
