I poured a bottle into a weizen glass. This beer is Springfield Brewing Co. current summer seasonal.
Appearance- Cloudy golden color with a fingers worth of head. Very little lacing.
Smell- Wheat malt, clove, banana, just a hint of pepper.
Taste- Similar to the nose but with out any trace of the pepper detected in the aroma.
Mouthfeel- Medium bodied and crisp with a nice amount of carbonation.
Overall- Enjoyable and easy to drink. A nice, solid example of the hefeweizen style.

Appearance: It was hard to judge appearance. I enjoyed the fact that the bartender overfilled but it made it hard to evaluate. Great hazy gold body though.
Smell: A lot of banana like esters to the aroma.
Taste: Great taste the banana was not over powering. The flavor finished off a little bit bean like with some spice.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied but very smooth.
Overall: Great hefe overall could compete easily with some of my favorites

On-tap (summer seasonal) at the Springfield Brewing Company. 0.5 L poured into a weizen glass.
Pours a cloudy orange-tinted straw with a small, disappointing-for-a-hefeweizen head. The fault of the server/pourer, perhaps?
Nose of banana and clove, with a decent bready backdrop. Wheaty and bready flavors up front, with quite a bit of spice. Ripe banana flavors show up toward the end and linger through the finish. Medium bodied, and a little on the thin side. Highly drinkable.

This is an excellent beer.
A: It poured a cloudy orange-tan, darker than I suspected. Not a great head, and it vanished quickly.
S: Aroma of banana and wheat, some spiciness emerged later as the beer warmed a bit.
T: Here's the big payoff. The taste followed the aroma, only even stronger banana flavor, and spicy clove and orange peel emerged upon warming.
M: mouthfeel was soft, silky wheat. This almost tasted like a banana bread smoothie, the banana was so strong, and the consistency was so smooth. I enjoyed the mouthfeel, although perhaps a bit weak or thin
D: easy to drink (maybe too easy?).
This beer was very good, the yeast strain they chose is excellent, imparting true hefe aromas and flavors. Nice smooth wheat. A great beer. I really enjoyed it on a hot summer night.

From the taps at the brewpub in Springfield, Mo. - enjoyed this while talking to Brewmaster Trey Manning about using fresh hops in APA and IPA styles.
Pours a hazy straw color with ample but short lasting head with some lacing on the tall gold rimmed Springfield B.C. glass.
Aroma of banana and clove not over done and well behaved with little 4-VG phenyl showing. Yeast selection was a good one Troy! Malts and some other esters showing up.
Flavors very well done. A good hefe is about yeast selection and fermentation control. Lighter bodied than Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier (my favorite) but still very satisfying. May have ruined my palate a little with a sample of the Rye Pale Ale (IPA). Clove emerges more with warming.
Judging by the number of glases that are being poured a popular offering on this warm summer evening.
I would enjoy more but I have two others that I have not found before.

12oz. bottle thanks to Ira.
Pours a hazy straw color with a thin head that disappears. No lacing on the glass.
Very fruity yeasty aroma full of banana, clove, and hints of vanilla. Smells like a very solid hefe.
Tastes just like it smells. Lots of fruity yeastiness and breadiness upfront. Plenty of banana and clove flavors and some hints of vanilla.
Meduim body, carbonation seems a bit light.
A very tasty and drinkable hefe in the true German style. One of the best U.S. brewed hefes I've had.
