Part of Mash's illustrated series 'Russell'
A - dark mahogany, fair bit of medium sized suspected particles, reasonable 1cm thick creamy pale brown head
S - interesting, dark fruits, chocolate-orange, toffee, and slightly toasted malts
T - slightly toasted bready malts - and lots of them too. Throw in dry chocolate with piney flavours throughout.
M - chewy, moderate carbonation, full bodied
O - more thicker and maltier than a typical Amber, this is a good effort.

Clear dark amber colour with a moderate, light tan head. Fair head retention. Some lacing.
Light toffeed malt with touches of citrussy hop. Quite malty rather than hoppy but still good.
Malt. Good caramelly, toffeed malt. Nice touches of fruit and earthiness. Mild bitterness. Nice.
Medium body with moderate carbonation. Solid.
A really good beer. Nice flavours. For an American though it could have more hop.

Got my growler filled with this number and pours a deep reddish mahogany hue with a khaki laced two finger head and lacing everywhere quite the looker, the smell is piney hops and lots of them with aniseed and mangoes, the mouthfeel is just over light bodied and well carbonated with tastes of predominantly piney hops,a dash of fruit salad, aniseed, chestnuts and finished with a piney bitterness and overall not bad and caught me by surprise as washer expecting it to be this good cheers.
