Had on tap the the brewery in Moab, UT.
Clear, nearly black in color with mahogany accents, forming a light tan head with OK retention and lacing. Aroma is of rum, caramel, toffee, sweet chocolate, faint coffee, and strong vanilla notes. Taste is burnt, sweet, vanilla, with lots of chocolate malts and roasted barley. Mouthfeel is dry and thin with a burnt finish..harsh with a medium body. Alcohol is clean, but there is a very noticeable isopropyl bitterness and astringency. Not very good.
