A: It poured an amber body with a slight tan head that left nice rings of lace.
S: It had dominant aromas of citrusy and floral hops with a strong undercurrent of lightly roasted sweet malts.
T: It had a flavorful malty base that was accented with grassy and spicy hops.
M: It was light bodied with moderate carbonation and a crisp finish with a slightly sour aftertaste.
D: It is light bodied with a low ABV and reasonably distinct flavors making it a passable session brew.

Errrm, yeah. I heard this brewery went out of business so I grabbed a couple 22 oz. bottles that I found on the shelf of a nearby specialty foods store. I was excited to try it, but I wasn't too impressed in the end. It poured a bit dark for an amber and looked more like a red ale, but didn't deliver the good flavor I like in a red ale. Had pretty good head on it, though, but it didn't stick around for long. I loved the first mouthful--it seemed like a very tasty malty ale, but for whatever reason, after that first swallow I just didn't care for it anymore. It wasn't bad, I was just unmotivated to keep drinking it. It was just kind of boring and didn't tantalize me at all, and didn't have a solid enough balance of good flavors to make it a pleasant session beer. I finished the 22 oz, but I wouldn't buy again.

On-tap at the brewpub: Caramel orangy glowing brown with a darker center, no real head was on it and gets no lace. Aroma is more sweet then anything, malts giving some caramel candy and lgith dulled fruity notions, notes of herbal hops and nuttyness. Taste is about the same as what the smell would lead you to believe. Sweet, slight caramel, some noted earthy herbs and nuttyness seeps in towards the finish. Quite bland and boring with a light taste and body. Likeable, but passable over just about every amber/red out there.

Had this beer on tap at Fiddlers Elbow in Salt Lake City(Sugar House)
Easily drinkable beer. Color is a light reddish-copper. Head retention was non-existant like everyone else said. A very light mouthfeel. Very refershing. A strong scent of Perle hops, with what I thought was a slight earthy almost grainy taste.

Had on tap at the brewery in Moab, UT.
Clear, light caramel in color with no head...retention and lacing is absent. Aroma is of toffee, caramel, and butterscotch. Mouthfeel is quite average with a wet finish and light body. The taste is very similar to the Chestnut Brown Ale, but lighter everywhere...in hops, body, and malt. Earthy malts and a nutty finish contribute. Clean overall, but there is a suggestion of corn towards the middle.

This amber ale pours a light orange color with absolutely no head retention. The aroma is lightly malty with an apparent sweet spice profile. The flavor consists of a bready malt with a mellow, latent hop character all on top of a medium smooth body. Not too bad.
