16-oz can pours a dark cola brown with a decent cap of dark khaki-colored head that sticks around for a little bit. Aroma is of lager yeast, lightly roasted malts, and toasty grains. Flavor is pretty reminiscent of your average English Porter, but without a lot of depth to the flavor. The notes of roasted malts, toasted grains, coffee, and chocolate are all there. Mouthfeel is slightly foamy and fairly thin for a porter. Lacks the soft mouthfeel of an English and the more robust, slightly offensive mouthfeel found in many American Porters. Instead, the mouthfeel is ephemeral and almost a little watery, but not really in a bad way, such as in many canned nitro stouts. It's quite easy to drink, fitting with the session description and 4.5 ABV.

An interesting beer that's tasty and easy to drink. It's good, but nothing groundbreaking. Might buy again, would drink again.

Black in color with a moderate amount of light penetration. There’s just a fingernail of wispy brown about the size of a half dollar in the middle of the glass. The aroma is of molasses and a trace of smoke and piney hops. I’m tasting molasses, cola, and just a suggestion of piney hops. The mouth is very light and smooth.

From a sixteen ounce can, this brew is a dark brown color with a tall and rocky tan head. The aroma is a mix of malt and roastedness. I get quite a bit of chocolate in the aroma, which follows through to the taste. Medium-full in body and enjoyable.
