A decent, easy-drinking Pilsner. Bought warm and stored for a few month, so not the freshest sample. Maybe not quite as balanced as I would have preferred, and a muted hop presence. Would try again fresh.

From a bottle with the Grolsch-style cap stamped 14-04-26. Sampled Dec. 12, 2025

Straw-golden pour with a modest white head.

The aroma is roasted barley grain, bread, floral, and tobacco

Decent medium mouthfeel.

The flavor is sweet and grainy with a notable moderate bitterness to finish. Slightly dry. Fairly crisp.

500ml bottle. Poured out a crystal clear, golden yellow color with a small white head of foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of bread crust, crackers and caramel. Sweet caramel, toffee and a mild bitterness.

I had this on draft 5/22/24 @ Laschet's Inn.

See through dull orange appearance.

Big bright white head; decent, frothy lacing remained.

Wheat bread & faint lemon notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Wheat bread & faint lemon flavor.

A bit soft/mild for the style; it tasted more like a Helles lager to me. Still, it's certainly drinkable.

Appearance: Brilliant, clear gold. Fluffy white head with good retention. Fast rising bubbles.

Aroma: Bready malt and floral hops

Flavor & Aftertaste: Sweet doughy malt on the front end, spicy/herbal hops note with a moderate to low bitterness on the back end. A honey-like note as well.

Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied, drying with some softness. Medium carbonation. Short, clean crisp finish.

Overall: Terrific German Pils. Very drinkable and enjoyable. Not quite as bitter as some but plenty to provide balance. Initial impression is doughy sweet malt but that quickly transitions to spicy & floral hops notes with a supporting bitterness. Clean fermentation profile. Crisp, clean finish with a slight but pleasant trailing bitterness. Mouthfeel seem full but it drinks medium, not filling. This beer had not obvious flaws and held up quite well for being four months old. Imagine a fresh draft is excellent.

So much yes. How did beer evolve from this to 450 north gas station slashes? This is fucking beer. This is what miller lite knocks off. This is such a prime example of how perfect simple can be.

De Labirratorium. En copa hefe de Bavaria. Estudiando.

Exquisite looking beer; fairly clear, soft golden color; fantastic slow rising carbonation; huge, billowy white head, soft and sculpted with lots of sticky sheets of foam cloaking the glass. Fine warm bread smell infused with a bit of sweet esters. Bread crust and toasted grain flavor with a moderate hop bitterness throughout. Medium body; warm and semi-sweet overall.

This is a fine, well-rounded German lager. It's brewed with Hallertau "Tradition" hop variety.

No bottling date information; served at 53° F.

Pours an effervescent gold with 2+ of pearl colored head. Great lacing & head retention

S: Bready, soapy, grassy, along with perfumy floral hops as this warms

T: Follows the nose, a little bit of lemon & dryness as well up front. Slight bready sweetness, grassyness & dryness as this warms along with a little soapyness. Finishes dry, bready with a little grassyness & soapyness

MF: Medium body, soft carbonation

Easy to drink and nice example of the style
